Saturday Night: Unending bunny drama, rabbits dominating the news! We just caught this little foo inside the fence where our three dogs run. We always check before we release the hounds because you never know what wanders in from the desert night. Tonight it was a tiny lucky rabbit 🙂
We gently bagged this little dude and set him in a nearby protected area where the dogs can’t get at him. The little baby let us scoop him up with no trouble and isn’t injured, just confused. He’s back on track with his nightly bunny business, we’ll check in with him later.
Wow, catching a bunny skirmish wasn’t as tricky as I thought it would be! So here you go, next day service, Little Desert Animals ♥ …enjoy.
Hoppers everywhere! Step outside our house and you’re sure to interrupt whatever these fluff-butts are doing. The rabbit traffic in our yard sometimes gets so busy they collide and comically skirmish before quickly scattering. I’m trying to capture it for you on video because it’s funny, bunny. It happens so quickly I’ll be lucky to catch it. For now, scratch along with this…
***Future forecast: watch out for coyotes!***
I don’t recall how long it’s been since the curved bill thrashers built their stick house by our back door. I think they’ve hatched at least three clutches of chicks so I guess we’ve been housemates for a few years now. Apparently spring is here early because we already have new peepers in the nest!
This morning I caught mama bird digging grubs for her chicks. It seems we have a rich supply in our leftover dirt pile…
